3D Ecorthotics

PTA Ecorthotics designs and creates personalized orthopedic splints using Additive Manufacturing, commonly known as 3D Printing, using biodegradable plastics (PLA and Carbon Filament) as raw material. It is addressed to the client -general, to the physician with a rehabilitation specialty eg orthopedic – physiotherapist and to large structures of health-organisms.
The award-winning PTA Ecorthotics project aims to:

  • The quicker rehabilitation of her splints to the patient due to the exact representation of her anatomy and her personal design.
  • The eco-friendly, biodegrable and compostable raw material used by 3D Printers.
  • The speed of insertion of the necessary patient’s somatometric data, either through a 3D scan or via an order platform, for the design and production of the splint.
  • The stylish design and use of state-of-the-art technology.
